Be informed! Cheating is uncacceptable in every institution. The DVC college policy is that cheating, and it's cousin, plagiarism, can result in a student's dismissal from a course with a failing grade.

What is Plagiarism?

Buying a paper from a ghost writer, a research service or term paper mill.
Turning in another student's work as one's own without citation and permission.
Turning in a paper someone else has written for you for a fee or gratis.
Copying a paper from a source text without proper acknowledgment (citation).
Copying materials from a source text, supplying proper documentation, but leaving out quotation marks.
Cutting and pasting from the Internet without quotation marks and documentation/ citation.
Paraphrasing materials from a source text without appropriate documentation / citation.
