Overall (cell) reaction (mercury):
Zn(s) + HgO(s) ZnO(s) + Hg(l); Ecell = 1.3 V
Overall (cell) reaction (silver):
Zn(s) + Ag2O(s) ZnO(s) + 2 Ag(s); Ecell = 1.6 V
